Rule 8-B1809 - RETENTION STANDING: TENURE GROUPS
1809.1

The name of each competing employee shall be listed on the retention register in the order of his or her retention standing.

1809.2

Competing employees shall be categorized on a retention register in the groups listed in § 1809.4 on the basis of tenure of employment.

1809.3

Within each group, employees shall be listed by service date, beginning with the earliest service date, as specified in § 1810.

1809.4

The retention register groups, in descending order of retention standing, shall be tenure groups I through VI, as follows:

(a) Group I - Permanent, full-time employees;
(b) Group II - Permanent, part-time employees ;
(c) Group III - Probationary employees ;
(d) Group IV - Temporary, full-time employees and contract employees;
(e) Group V - Temporary, part-time employees;
(f) Group VI - Employees hired on an intermittent basis (W.A.E.).
