Rule 8-B1806 - WORK UNITS1806.1Employees in a work unit shall not compete with employees in another work unit.
1806.2Positions funded by a particular grant or specific contract with an outside agency or contractor shall be treated as belonging to a separate work unit.
1806.3In addition to the separate work units established for grants and specific contracts under § 1806.2, the following shall be treated as separate work units for purposes of a reduction in force:
(a) The Office of the President and all administrative units reporting directly to the President;(b) The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, including all academic colleges, departments, and other units reporting to the Provost/Vice President ;(c) The Office of the Vice President for Finance, including all administrative units reporting directly to the Vice President ;(d) The Office of the Vice President for Administrative Services, including all administrative units reporting directly to the Vice President;(e) The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, including all administrative units reporting directly to the Vice President; and(f) The Office of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, including all administrative units reporting directly to the Vice President.D.C.
