Early in the fall semester of each academic year, the dean of each college shall notify the faculty, by memorandum, of the deadlines for the submission of materials and of the procedures for applying for promotion, as established by the college committee on promotions.
When a faculty member wishes to be considered for promotion, he or she shall notify the departmental evaluation committee.
The departmental evaluation review shall include performance for the current and previous years at the present rank in the University.
After the evaluation review is completed, the department shall submit the applicant's folder on current and previous years of performance to the college committee on promotions, along with recommendations supporting or rejecting the faculty member's request for promotion.
