Summer faculty employment is optional. Full-time departmental faculty members shall be given first priority for summer employment.
Each regular faculty member to be employed for the summer session shall receive a written contract no later than May 1st.
Ordinarily, a full-time summer appointment shall be equivalent to one-half (1/2) of the workload of one (1) academic semester in the department of the faculty member.
A separate written contract or amended written contract shall be provided for any additional credit hours or work-load within or beyond the period of time contracted.
