Tuition assistance shall be provided to eligible full-time employees in the form of reimbursement for tuition paid for approved courses at educational institutions other than the University, within budgetary limitations and guidelines established by the President.
To qualify for tuition assistance an employee shall be required to have completed at least one (1) year of continuous employment with the University.
Employees receiving payment for courses under the GI bill or other scholarships, grants, or funds shall not be reimbursed for courses taken.
An eligible employee may receive a tuition reimbursement, not to exceed the cost of one (1) three credit hour course for each term of enrollment.
Actual payment shall not be authorized until evidence of satisfactory completion of the course with a grade of "pass," "C," or better.
An employee shall be required to remain employed by the University through completion of the course to qualify for reimbursement.
An employee selected for training under this section shall agree in writing to do the following:
If an employee fails to repay the amount of reimbursement received for training, as required in § 1331.7, a sum equal to the amount of reimbursement not repaid shall be recoverable by the University from the employee through deductions from salary or other payments due to the employee from the University.
