Rule 8-A205 - CLINICAL EDUCATION
205.1

In order to fulfill its mission to establish and operate a clinical law school that is committed to representing the legal needs of low-income persons, the School of Law shall include programs in its curriculum that directly involve all students at the School of Law,under faculty supervision, in the resolution of actual legal problems and the representation of clients.

205.2

The clinical programs of the School of Law shall be established in areas of the law approved by the Dean, upon recommendation of the faculty, subject to the student practice rules and requirements of the agencies and jurisdictions in which the programs are to operate.

205.3

Credit hours and credit for class hours for clinical program courses shall be commensurate with the time and effort expended by students and the educational benefits of each course.

205.4

Not less than nine hundred (900) of the class hours requirement set forth in § 602.1 of chapter 6 of this title shall be satisfied by attendance at regularly scheduled class sessions.

205.5

The maximum number of credit hours which may be earned by a student in clinical program courses shall be twenty-seven (27).
