Rule 8-A1832 - FURLOUGH NOTICES
1832.1

Each employee to be furloughed shall be entitled to written notice at least fifteen (15) calendar days before the employee's first furlough date.

1832.2

In counting the fifteen (15) day minimum notice period, the day the employee receives the notice shall be omitted; and a notice period that ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday shall be automatically extended to the next working day.

1832.3

An employee shall be entitled to a new written notice of at least fifteen (15) full days if a decision is made to increase the number of scheduled furlough hours.

1832.4

Each furlough notice shall state the following:

(a) The dates and times on which the employee is to be furloughed; and
(b) The place where the employee may review the rules governing furloughs.
