The Chairperson of the Board of Governors may call an emergency meeting of the Board by informing the Executive Assistant in writing of the nature of the emergency and the purpose of the meeting.
Upon the request of a call for an emergency meeting, the Executive Assistant shall inform the members of the Board of the time, place, nature of the emergency, and purpose of the emergency meeting.
The Executive Assistant shall also give notice to the public of an emergency meeting by posting notice in a public place and informing the press and media of the time, place, and purpose of the meeting.
The agenda of an emergency meeting shall include only the item(s) set forth in the notice of purpose of the meeting. No item(s) for action by the Board may be added to the agenda of an emergency meeting.
Prior to taking action on the agenda item(s) at an emergency meeting, the majority of the Board members present after the establishment of a quorum shall ratify the declaration of an emergency.
