OAG has established a Voluntary Leave Transfer Program for OAG employees pursuant to section 1231 of the District of Columbia Government Comprehensive Merit Personnel Act of 1978 (CMPA), effective February 6, 2004 (D.C. Law 1568; D.C. Official Code § 1-612.31et seq.). OAG recognizes that employees may need to care for themselves or family members with serious health conditions, or are affected by a major disaster resulting in a need for additional time off in excess of their available leave. To address this need, eligible employees can donate annual leave from their unused balance to their co-workers who are in need of sick or annual leave to care for themselves or provide personal care to family members with a serious health condition as outlined below.
