Rule 30-1504 - RAFFLE PRIZES

1504.1

Cash prizes shall be limited to an aggregate of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for any licensed organization in any twelve (12) month period.

1504.2

All personal or real property to be offered as prizes shall be owned by the licensed organization at the time application for license is made to the Board, except that in lieu of ownership, the Board shall accept a bond surety in an amount at least fifteen percent (15%) above the aggregate value of the prize or a check made payable to the D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board in an amount at least fifteen percent (15%) above the aggregate value of the prize.

1504.3

Every reasonable effort shall be made by the licensed organization to award the prizes to the winners. If, after ninety (90) days, any raffle prize is not claimed, ownership of that prize will revert to the licensed organization.
