Rule 3-3906 - DURATION OF INAUGURAL COMMITTEES

3906.1

An inaugural committee shall terminate no later than six (6) months after the beginning of the term of the new Mayor.

3906.2

An inaugural committee may accept contributions necessary to retire the debts of the committee for six (6) months after the beginning of the term of the new Mayor, after which the Mayor shall be personally liable for any remaining debts; provided, that personal liability shall not attach until the Office of Campaign Finance is no longer auditing the inaugural committee.

3906.3

The Mayor shall not fundraise to retire the proper debts of his or her inaugural committee, for which he or she is not personally liable, after six (6) months after the beginning of his or her term.

3906.4

Whe n terminating, inaugural committees shall adhere to the applicable provisions under § 3016 of Chapter 30 of this title.
