Rule 29-901 - MEDICALLY NEEDY INCOME LEVELS
901.1

The medically needy income levels (MNILs), for each household size in the District of Columbia, shall be based on 50% of the respective amounts of the Federal poverty guidelines published each year by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation. The current MLIN calculations, based on the FY 2003 Federal poverty guidelines shall be as follows:

Pregnant women, children from birth up to 19 years of age, and the parents or relative caretakers of those children, when gross family income is at below two hundred (200) percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), shall be eligible for medical assistance under the District's Medicaid Program, without regard to assets. Eligible persons shall be District residents.

901.3

For purposes of participation in the District's Medicaid Program, unemployment is defined as gross income at or below 200% of the FPL.
