The provider shall employ qualified individuals to furnish the required services.
There shall be a minimum of two (2) full-time professional staff members, one (1) of whom shall be a social worker.
Additional personnel shall be added to maintain a ratio of one (1) full-time staff member involved in providing direct services to participants for each six (6) participants.
Non-direct care staff (such as secretaries, accountants, and cooks) shall not be included in calculating the one (1) to six (6) ratio.
A limited number of volunteers may be used to meet the staffing requirements only upon written approval from the Department of Human Services.
At least twenty five percent (25%) of the staff of a day treatment program primarily serving mentally retarded adults shall be comprised of individuals certified as qualified mental retardation professionals.
The Department of Human Services may impose additional staff requirements based upon the need of the participants and the particular day treatment program.
