Rule 29-3107 - TERMINATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
3107.1

The Director may terminate financial assistance when the Director determines that the following occurs:

(a) The trainee has substantially failed to comply with these rules;
(b) The trainee fails to meet the conditions set forth in the District of Columbia Nurses Training Corps Program Agreement; or
(c) The Director determines that the trainee is no longer pursuing a course of study leading to a certificate or degree in practical or professional nursing.
3107.2

When the Director has reason to believe that financial assistance should be terminated, the Director shall:

(a) Notify the trainee in writing of non-compliance with program requirements, stating the facts or documents relied upon for the determination and proposed action; and
(b) Advise the participant that he or she may appeal (in writing), any determination made by the Director, within thirty (30) days of the date that the Director issued the notification, as follows:
(1) Submit the appeal to the Office of Fair Hearings; and
(2) Include any documentation considered necessary for certifying that he or she is in compliance with program requirements.
