Rule 29-1618 - INTAKE PROCEDURES FOR ADOPTIVE SERVICES
1618.1

At the time of referral of a child or application for services, the child-placing agency shall assess the needs and strengths of the child's family.

1618.2

A written intake study shall includes:

(a) The identification of the specific needs of the child and family which warrant consideration of removal and adoptive placement of the child;
(b) The family's strengths;
(c) The involvement of the child's parents and significant others in his or her care;
(d) The available resources;
(e) The goals of the family;
(f) Available social and medical history of the child and each family member; and
(g) The child's legal status.
1618.3

Each child-placing agency shall keep a record of all requests for services, placements, and the reasons for acceptance and denial of services.

1618.4

Each child-placing agency shall provide referral assistance to persons requesting services not provided by the agency.
