Rule 28-517 - RIOT PROCEDURES
517.1

In the event of a riot, the Administrator or higher ranking official within the chain-of-command may order immediate detention of any resident for a period of up to forty-eight (48) hours.

517.2

Continued detention shall be authorized in writing by the Administrator or higher ranking official within the chain-of-command.

517.3

Upon restoration of order, the normal disciplinary procedures shall be reinstated within a reasonable time. All residents who were detained under the riot provisions shall appear before the Adjustment Board or Hearing Officer in accordance with the procedures set forth in this chapter, or shall be returned to the area in the prison where they were assigned prior to detention.
