Rule 25-B800 - PACKAGING FOOD - SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES800.1A certified supervisor shall ensure that food packaging is:
(a) Designed and installed to maintain food safety and integrity;(b) Made from materials that: (2) Are appropriate for the intended use;(3) Will not migrate to or be absorbed by food; and(4) Comply with the FDA requirements stated in 21 CFR 174.5 - General provisions applicable to indirect food additives; 21 CFR 174.6 - Threshold of regulation for substances used in food- contact articles; 21 CFR 178.1010 - Sanitizing solutions; and 21 CFR 178.3570 - Lubricants with incidental food contact; and(c) Evaluated before use for characteristics that may impact the food, such as permeability to:(1) Water and water vapor;(2) Oxygen; and (3) Other gases.D.C.
