Failure to comply with any of the provisions of this Code shall be grounds for the revocation or suspension of any license or dealer certification issued for a food processing operation pursuant to section 8 a(c) of the An Act Relating to the adulteration of food and drugs in the District of Columbia, approved May 2, 2002 (D.C. Law 14-116; D.C. Official Code § 48-108.01(c)) . When there is a history of repeated violations or where a license or dealer certification has been previously suspended, the Department may revoke a license or dealer certification, upon a showing of a subsequent violation.
Before the Department revokes or suspends a license or dealer certification, the licensee or dealer shall be given an opportunity to answer and to be heard on the violations.
