Rule 22-B8201 - EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION8201.1Policy: All employees shall be classified in a particular job title according his/her duties and responsibilities.
8201.2The following procedures shall apply:
(a) Upon hire and/or positional review, employees shall be classified within a particular job title;(b) Employees shall receive, as part of the performance management process, a position description, which shall contain an overview of duties and responsibilities for the position;(c) Each job classification shall be assigned a salary range and placed within the compensation system. For more information of classifying individual employees, see Compensation Section; and(d) Requests to change an employee's job classification may be initiated by the employee, management, or the Human Resources Division. Such request should be submitted on the Position Reclassification/Salary Justification Form and include objective justification for the change. Such requests shall then be reviewed by Human Resources and a response given within thirty (30) days.D.C. Mun. Regs. tit. 22, r. 22-B8201
