An officer/supervisor of the Commission may not appoint, employ, promote or advance nor advocate for the appointment, employment, promotion or advancement of a relative in or to a position over which the officer/supervisor has supervisory authority.
For the purpose of this section "relatives" are defined as spouse, parent, parent- in-law, child, step-child, sister, brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, step-parent, niece, nephew, grandparent, or grandchild.
A permanent full-time employee who leaves a position with the Commission to enter military service shall retain re-employment rights applicable under District or federal law in effect at the time of his/her separation.
