Rule 18-754 - FEDERAL TRANSIENT EMISSIONS TEST: TESTING PROCEDURES
754.1

Approved testing procedures used to perform the federal transient emissions test shall meet the performance standards established in 40 CFR 51.357 and Appendix E of 40 CFR or a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approved equivalent.

754.2

Prior to performing the federal transient emissions test, the motor vehicle shall be inspected in accordance with chapters 6 and 7 of this title to determine that the vehicle can safely undergo the federal transient emissions test.

754.3

A vehicle failing the inspection required by § 754.2 shall be rejected, and no federal transient emissions test shall be performed until the vehicle passes reinspection.

754.4

Detailed procedures used to perform the federal transient emissions test shall be included in the current edition of the Lane Operator's Inspection Manual, or when applicable, the current edition of the AAMVA Manual.
