Disciplinary action taken against a permanent employee shall be for cause, in accordance with this chapter. The incident(s) precipitating the disciplinary action must be documented in writing and have the concurrence of the employee's Department Director. Disciplinary action may be progressive or immediate removal. Any action taken for suspension or removal must be consistent with the provisions of § 7111.
