Strike Section 3.1 in ASHRAE 90.1 and insert new Section 3.1 in its place in the Energy Conservation Code-Commercial Provisions to read as follows:
Certain terms, abbreviations, and acronyms are defined in this section solely for the purposes of the Energy Conservation Code-Commercial Provisions as such code is defined in Title 12-A DCMR, Section 101.10 (the "ECC[CE]"). These definitions are solely applicable to all sections of the ECC[CE], and not to any other Construction Codes (as defined in 12-A DCMR § 101.1) . Terms that are not defined shall have their ordinarily accepted meanings within the context in which they are used
