Permits. An operational permit for storage and/or use of LP-gas is required in accordance with Section 105.6.28, and an installation permit is required in accordance with Section 105.7.6 for installation of or modification to an LP-gas system. Distributors shall not fill an LP-gas container for which a permit is required unless a permit for installation has been issued for that location by the firecode official.
Empty Containers: Empty or partially filled containers which have been used in LP-gas service shall be considered as full containers.
Insert a new Section 6101.4 into the Fire Code to read as follows:
Natural Gas: The use of liquefied petroleum gas is prohibited wherever natural gas is available except where permitted by the code official.
