Insert new Section 1507.18 to the Building Code to read as follows:
Hot-applied rubberized-asphalt roofing. The installation of hot-applied rubberized-asphalt roofing shall comply with the provisions of this section.
Slope. Hot-applied rubberized-asphalt roof membranes shall not be required to have a minimum design slope (0-percent slope).
Material standards. Hot-applied rubberized-asphalt roofing shall be one-part hot-applied rubberized asphalt and comply with CAN/CGSB-37.50-M89.
Protected membrane ballasted low-slope roofs. Protected membrane ballasted roof assemblies with a low-slope (roof slope < 2:12) shall be installed in accordance with this section and Section 1504.4. Stone used as ballast shall comply with ASTM D448.
