When an overlap or vacancy is encountered after apportioning for any fullness or shortage the Land Surveyor shall bring it to the attention of the D.C. Surveyor, for a resolution, if feasible.
When the resolution requires correcting an error or inconsistency appearing on a plat of subdivision, the correction of the plat shall be made only by the D.C. Surveyor.
Where the resolution requires correcting or amending a deed description, the owner of record shall be responsible for correcting or amending the deed description.
