Rule 1-507 - SUBPOENAS
507.1

Subpoenas to compel witnesses to appear and testify or to produce books, records, papers or documents shall, when appropriate, be issued by the Chairperson sua sponte or upon request of the presiding member of a hearing committee or of any party.

507.2

Subpoenas shall be issued in the name of the Mayor of the District of Columbia, and subpoenaed witnesses, other than those employed by the District of Columbia, shall be entitled to a reasonable fee as established by regulations issued by the Mayor pursuant to D.C. Code § 1-338(a): Provided, that the fee shall not be required to be tendered in advance.

507.3

Subpoenas issued by the Chairperson shall be enforceable in the manner prescribed in D.C. Code § 1 -338(c).
