Section 801-4.0 - Notification of Employment Status

4.1 The Administrator will be notified by the Chief of Police, in writing, within five business days of the resignation, retirement or separation of any police officer under his/her command.

4.2 Any law enforcement agency hiring a COPT Certified Officer must notify the Administrator within five business days of the employment offer.

4.3 Upon the permanent separation from any police officer position, any COPT certification or endorsement as a law enforcement instructor will expire.
