Section 38a-480-11 - DefinitionsAs used in Section 38a-480-11 through 38a-480-14, inclusive:
(a) "Commissioner" means the Insurance Commissioner of this state.(b) "Form" means a life insurance, endowment or annuity contract or contracts supplemental thereto which contain only such provisions relating to accident and health insurance as (1) provide additional benefits in case of death by accidental means and (2) operate to safeguard such contracts against lapse, or to give a special surrender value or special benefit or an annuity in the event that the insured or annuitant become totally and permanently disabled as defined by the contract or supplemental contract.(c) "Insurer" means an insurance company licensed by the Commissioner to write life insurance.Conn.
