Section 31-376-52 - Expedited proceeding(a) Upon application of any party or intervenor or upon his own motion, any Commissioner may order an expedited proceeding. Contests arising under section 31-376-19 and 31-376-20, shall be placed on a special docket and treated as expedited proceedings before the commissioners or a hearing officer. Cases arising under these sections which are directed for review before the commission shall also be placed on a special docket for review, and shall be treated as expedited proceedings under this section.(b) When such proceeding is ordered, the Secretary shall notify all parties and intervenors.(c) The Hearing Officer assigned in an expedited proceeding shall make necessary rulings with respect to time for filing of pleadings and with respect to all other matters, without reference to times set forth in these rules, shall order daily transcripts of the hearing, and shall do all other things necessary to complete the proceeding in the minimum time consistent with fairness.Conn.
