Section 31-376-12 - Party status(a) Affected employees may elect to participate as parties at any time before the commencement of the hearing before the Hearing Officer, unless, for good cause shown, the Commission or the Hearing Officer allows such election at a later time. (See also 31-376-13 below.)(b) Where a notice of contest is filed by an employee or by an authorized employee representative with respect to the reasonableness of the period for abatement of a violation, the employer charged with the responsibility of abating the violation may elect party status at any time before the commencement of the hearing before the Hearing Officer.
