Section 29-136-4a - Ride and device manufacturers(a) All mechanical amusement rides or devices manufactured after January 1, 1993 shall conform to the standards set forth in the fourth edition of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standards on Amusement Rides and Devices (1992).(b) Homemade rides or devices shall be built to conform to or exceed the standards set forth in the fourth edition of the ASTM Standards on Amusement Rides and Devices (1992), and shall be certified by an engineer approved by the Commissioner of Public Safety as meeting such standard.(c) The standards promulgated by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) are available from the American Society for Testing and Materials, 100 Barr Harbor Drive, West Conshohocken, PA 19428-2959; telephone number, (610) 832-9500.Conn.
