Section 29-232-105 - Controls and heat generating apparatus

Oil and gas-fired and electrically heated boilers should be equipped with suitable primary (flame safeguards) safety controls, safety limit switches, and burners or electric elements as required by a nationally recognized standard. 1

The symbol of the certifying organization 2 which has investigated such equipment as having complied with a nationally recognized standard shall be affixed to the equipment and shall be considered as evidence that the unit was manufactured in accordance with that standard.

2A certifying organization is one that provides uniform testing, examination, and listing procedures under established, nationally recognized standards and that is acceptable to the authorities having jurisdiction.
