Section 14-78-26 - License renewal(a) A licensee may renew a license to conduct a commercial driving school by paying the renewal fee, providing the prescribed cash deposit or surety bond pursuant to Section 14-78-22(e) of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, and filing with the commissioner a renewal application in accordance with the provisions of section 14-78-22 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.(b) Each renewal applicant shall submit a renewal application forty-five days prior to his or her license expiration date, according to a schedule established by the commissioner. The commissioner may adopt a schedule for license renewal that results in expiration dates distributed throughout the calendar year, with fees prorated accordingly for the initial licensing period.(c) Each renewal applicant, and all partners, officers, managers, principals, in addition to any person whose name appears on the renewal application, shall be subject to a state records check and a check of the state child abuse and neglect registry pursuant to section 14-69 of the Connecticut General Statutes. If there is a criminal record or listing on the state child abuse and neglect registry, the commissioner shall make a determination whether to issue a license using the standards set forth in section 14-69 of the Connecticut General Statutes.(d) A renewal applicant who files a late renewal application shall pay a late fee in accordance with section 14-69(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes.Conn.
