Section 3 CCR 702-1-1-1-4 - QualificationsAny person acting in the capacity of an actuary, in order to be considered qualified, must fulfill the following requirements:
A. In the case of documents relating to property and casualty types of coverage, the person must be: 1. A member of the American Academy of Actuaries who either is a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society or has been approved by the Casualty Practice Council of the Academy, or2. A person who has demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Commissioner that the person has sufficient educational background and who has not less than seven years of recent actuarial experience relevant to the area of qualification.B. In the case of documents relating to other types of insurance or regulated products, the person must be: 1. A member of the American Academy of Actuaries, or2.
