Section 61.42 - Emission standard(a) Emissions to the atmosphere from rocket-motor test sites shall not cause time-weighted atmospheric concentrations of beryllium to exceed 75 microgram minutes per cubic meter ([MICRO]g-min/m3)(4.68 * 10-9 pound minutes per cubic foot (lb-min/ft3)) of air within the limits of 10 to 60 minutes, accumulated during any 2 consecutive weeks, in any area in which an adverse effect to public health could occur.(b) If combustion products from the firing of beryllium propellant are collected in a closed tank, emissions from such tank shall not exceed 2.0 g/hr (0.0044 lb/hr) and a maximum of 10 g/day (0.022 lb/day).38 FR 8826, Apr. 6, 1973, as amended at 65 FR 62151, Oct. 17, 2000; 79 FR 11275, Feb. 27, 2014
