Section 51.435 - Nursing servicesThe State home must provide an organized nursing service with a sufficient number of qualified nursing personnel to meet the total nursing care needs, as determined by participant assessments and individualized comprehensive care plans, of all participants in the program.
(a) There must be at least one registered nurse on duty each day of operation of the adult day health care program. This nurse must be currently licensed by the State and must have, in writing, administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the nursing and program assistants.(b) The number and level of nursing staff is determined by the authorized capacity of participants and the nursing care needs of the participants.(c) Nurse staffing must be adequate for meeting the standards of this part.
