Section 165.T08-0875 - [Effective until 12/1/2024] Safety Zone; Grosse Tete, Iberville, LA(a)Location. The following is a safety zone: All waters between mile marker 45 and mile marker 47 on the Port Allen Route, Iberville, LA.(b)Definition. As used in this section, designated representative means Coast Guard Patrol Commanders, including Coast Guard coxswains, petty officers, and other officers operating Coast Guard vessels, and Federal, state, and local officers designated by or assisting the Captain of the Port New Orleans (COTP) in the enforcement of the safety zone.(c)Regulations.(1) No person or vessel will be permitted to enter, transit, anchor, or remain within the safety zone described in paragraph (a) of this section unless authorized by the COTP or a designated representative. If authorization is granted, persons and vessels receiving such authorization must comply with the lawful instructions of the COTP or designated representative.(2) To seek permission to enter, contact the COTP by telephone at (504) 365-2540 or a designated representative via VHF radio on channel 16.(d)Enforcement period. This section will be enforced from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily Monday through Friday, except on federal holidays.
