Section 1636.3 - Basis for classification in Class 1-A-0(a) A registrant must be conscientiously opposed to participation in combatant training and service in the Armed Forces.(b) A registrant's objection may be founded on religious training and belief; it may be based on strictly religious beliefs, or on personal beliefs that are purely ethical or moral in source or content and occupy in the life of a registrant a place parallel to that filled by belief in a Supreme Being for those holding more traditionally religious views.(c) A registrant's objection must be sincere.47 FR 4655, Feb. 1, 1982, as amended at 52 FR 24457, July 1, 1987
