Section 3959.11 - Clarify Mojave River Beneficial Use Designations, Update Site Cleanup, Land Disposal and Bishop Underground Tank Policy Sections and Other Editorial Revisions

On June 8, 2022, the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted Resolution No. R6T-2022-0021 amending the Water Quality Control Plan for the Lahontan Region (Basin Plan). The State Water Resources Control Board approved the amendment under Resolution No. 2022-0050 on December 6, 2022.

Resolution No. R6T-2022-0021 clarifies the beneficial uses for the Mojave River and makes other revisions to the Basin Plan to correct errors, incorporate new policies and update language in Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. The Basin Plan amendment corrects an error in Chapter 1 (Introduction), revises Chapter 2 (Present and Potential Beneficial Uses) to correct errors and clarify the beneficial use designations for the Mojave River, inserts language in Chapter 3 (Water Quality Objectives) to describe the statewide mercury water quality objectives, updates language in Chapter 4 (Implementation) related to Site Cleanup, Land Disposal and Underground Storage Tanks, and updates language in Chapter 6 (Plans and Policies) related to State Water Board Plans and Policies.
