Section 77079.11 - Pharmaceutical Services-Medication Distribution System(a) In facilities utilizing a unit dose medication system, there shall be at least a 24-hour supply of all patient medications on hand at all times, except those drugs which are to be discontinued within the 24-hour period. Drugs that are a part of a unit dose medication system shall not exceed a 48-hour supply.(b) Facilities may utilize a floor stock medication system in lieu of a unit dose medication system.Cal.
