Section 69403.2 - Dermatotoxicity(a) The dermatotoxicity hazard trait is defined as the occurrence of adverse effects on the structure or function of the skin including its barrier properties and its ability to maintain heat, fluid, or electrolyte homeostasis following exposure to a chemical substance.(b) Toxicological endpoints for dermatotoxicity include but are not limited to those indicating: allergic sensitization, allergic reactions, acute or subacute irritation, photosensitivity, or corrosivity measured in in vivo and in vitro skin models.(c) Other relevant dermatotoxicity data include, but are not limited to: in vitro measures of dermatotoxicity such as toxicity in cell-based models; structural or mechanistic similarity to other chemical substances that are dermatotoxic.Cal.
