Section 50183.5 - Action Following Medi-Cal Discontinuance by the Department(a) The Department shall inform the county department of any ABD person whose Medi-Cal eligibility as an SSI/SSP PA recipient has been discontinued because the conditions in (1)(A) and (B) exist. (1) The county department shall contact the person and assist the person with the completion of an application for Medi-Cal-only pursuant to Section 50147 when the following conditions exist. (A) The person has been in long-term care for more than the month of admission and is expected to remain in the facility for at least 30 days.(B) The person has nonexempt monthly gross income in excess of $44.90.(2) The county department shall advise the Department immediately that an inappropriate referral has been received when the conditions in (1) do not exist.Cal.
