Section 20715 - Proposed Ballot Designations Submitted Pursuant to Elections Code Section 13107, Subdivision (a)(4)(a) Pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(4), a candidate may propose a ballot designation consisting of the phrase "appointed incumbent" if the candidate holds an office, other than a judicial office, by virtue of appointment, and the candidate is a candidate for election to the same office. The candidate may not use the unmodified word "incumbent" or any words designating the office unmodified by the word "appointed."(b) Pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(4), a candidate may propose a ballot designation consisting of the word "appointed" in conjunction with the elective office, if the candidate is a candidate for election to the same office or to some other office. The candidate may not use any words designating the office unmodified by the word "appointed."(c) There shall be no word count limitation applicable to ballot designations submitted pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(4).Cal.
