Section 81 - Continuing Education Requirements for Renewing an Expired License(a) As a condition for renewing a license in an active status, a licensee renewing an expired license shall adhere to the basic requirements described in Section 87 in the two-year period immediately preceding the date on which the licensee applies for license renewal. No carryover of continuing education is permitted from one license renewal period to another.(b) For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply: (1) "Date on which the licensee applies for license renewal" shall mean the date the license application, including the applicable renewal and delinquency fee, is postmarked on the envelope.(2) "Expired" shall mean delinquent, lapsed, or a late renewal that is postmarked after the licensee's last or most recent license expiration date, up to five years.Cal.
