Rule 002.01.24-015 - [Effective 1/1/2025] 26.13 Certain Exotic Aquatic Species Prohibited

It is unlawful to import, sell, trade, purchase, stock, culture, transport, or possess live prohibited aquatic species, including viable eggs and hybrids (see Addendum J1.04).

EXCEPTIONS:

A. These species may only be possessed live for public educational display, bona fide scientific research, or conservation efforts of significant benefit to wildlife or wildlife habitat in Arkansas in compliance with AGFC Codes 9.09, 9.18, 35.09, 35.11, 35.12, 35.13, and Addendum Chapters F1.09, F1.10, and I1.00.

B. Northern Snakehead (Channa argus) may be possessed once either the head or the gills has been severed from the body or the body has been eviscerated.
