Section R18-4-206 - Monitoring and Sampling by the Department and Map ContractorsA. The Department may take samples from a public water system. If the Department takes a sample at a public water system, the Department shall forward a copy of the analytical results to the water supplier.B. If a public water system fails to monitor, the Department may monitor to determine compliance with MCLs. A public water system shall not use Department monitoring to satisfy monitoring requirements prescribed by this Chapter. This subsection does not apply to monitoring under the monitoring assistance program.C. A contractor shall take compliance samples for the categories of contaminants listed in A.R.S. § 49-360(A) for a public water system that participates in the monitoring assistance program.D. The sampling location for chemical contaminants must be the entry point to the distribution system or the compliance monitoring point specified by the Department, unless otherwise specified in this Chapter. An entry point to a distribution system is the point at which water is discharged into the distribution system from a well, storage tank, pressure tank, or water treatment plant.Ariz. Admin.
