Examinations for dangerous conditions, including tests for flammable gas with a device approved by the Inspector should be made at least once each week, and at intervals of not more than seven days, by the mine foreman or other designated mine official, except during weeks in which the mine is idle for the entire week. The foreman or other designated mine official should:
1. Examine and make tests: a. In the return of each split where it enters the main return,b. On accessible pillar falls,e. In at least one entry of each intake and return airway in its entirety,g. In abandoned workings, insofar as conditions permit.2. Mark his initials and the date at the place examined.3. Report dangerous conditions, promptly to the mine operator or other designated person.4. Record the results of his examination with ink or indelible pencil in a book kept for that purpose at a designated place on the surface of the mine.Ariz. Admin. Code § R11-1-1850
