Section 7 AAC 127.090 - Service level authorization and reauthorization for Community First Choice personal care services(a) For each recipient, based upon that recipient's assessment conducted under 7 A AC 127.030, the department will (1) determine the level of assistance necessary for and the amount, duration, and frequency of the specific Community First Choice personal care services for which the department will pay using the Community First Choice Personal Care Services: Service Level Computation, adopted by reference in 7 AAC 160,900; and(2) develop a Community First Choice personal care service level authorization that identifies the specific ADLs, lADLs, and other services covered for the recipient under 7 AAC 127.040.(b) The total time authorized under (a)(1) of this section may be used to provide any activity or other service covered under 7 AAC 127.040 that is identified in the individual's support plan developed under 7 AAC 127.039.(c) The department will not pay a provider for any activity or service that is not specified in 7 AAC 127.040 and identified in a recipient's support plan as approved by the department. (d) A recipient's Community First Choice personal care service level authorization or an amendment to a Community First Choice personal care service level authorization developed under 7 AAC 127.095 will not take effect until approved by the department.(e) The department may authorize Community First Choice personal care services for a specific length of time, not to exceed a 12-month period.
