Section 7 AAC 41.330 - Family contribution
(a) As the contribution toward child care costs required under AS 47.25.041, a participating family shall pay to the provider a percentage of its income as determined in the department's Family Income and Contribution Schedule,adopted by reference in 7 AAC 41.335. If the family has more than one child care provider, the department will or the designee shall specify the amount of the family's income to be paid to each provider.
(b) In addition to the family contribution paid under (a) of this section, if the provider's charges are higher than the relevant program rate under 7 AAC 41.025, the participating family is responsible for paying the provider the difference within a time period agreed to between the family and the provider. The provider is responsible for obtaining, or recovering, that difference. If the provider has established to the department's satisfaction that a participating family bas not fully paid the family's contribution or the difference, the department will or designee shall require the family to enter into a payment plan with the provider, and the department will take debarment action under 7 AAC 41.450 against the family for failing to enter into a payment plan. Nothing in this subsection precludes a provider from requiring payment from a family in advance of the services to be provided.
